Without greasy, sticky or oily sprays and lotions, the appliance offers a silent option in a protective barrier for pests. The ThermaCELL odor-free repellent mat contains the active ingredient, allethrin, a synthetic copy of the natural repellent found in chrysanthemum flowers. Weighing only 11.2-ounces, the appliance offers 15-foot by 15-foot protection or an average sized deck, patio or campsite. To use the appliance, insert the butane into the base of the appliance, then slide the mat into the appliance.
